Brooke found a quote by Maria Popova which reads, “Progress is
incremental for us, both as individual creative beings and together as a
society and civilization. The flower doesn’t go from bud to blossom in one
spritely burst. It’s just that culturally, we are not interested in the tedium
of the blossoming. And yet that’s
where all the real magic is in the making of one’s character and destiny.”
Both
of us love the idea of continual improvement and progress. We have
realized the day to day process of that is just as important as the end
result we are trying to reach. We started this blog as a way to document
and track our progress through these journey's with hopes that we will come
to appreciate the "tedium of blossoming" a bit more.
